ABOUT DONNA

Donna is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and has worked in Canada, South Africa, Sydney and Adelaide in public mental health settings, private and government school settings, general practice, hospitals, and private clinics. These roles have helped her develop a unique perspective on the discipline of psychology and a better understanding of the numerous challenges faced by individuals and families today. 
She has a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, evidence-based psychological services to achieve the best possible outcome for children, adolescents and families. She creates an environment of warmth and unconditional positive regard and believes the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to progressing towards positive growth.

  • PhD Psychology, University of Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Master of Science (cum laude) Clinical Psychology, University of Johannesburg,South Africa
  • Bachelor of Science Honours (with distinction), University of Victoria, Canada
  • Member of the Australian Psychological Society
  • Fellow of the Australian Psychology Society’s College of Clinical Psychologists
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA)
  • Registered Medicare Provider
  • Psychology Board Approved Supervisor
  • Autism Diagnostician registered with Autism SA
FURTHER INFORMATION 

FEES AND REBATES

Clients with a valid referral from their GP are eligible for Medicare rebates. The gap payment is approximately $90 based on a 50 minute consultation.

Clients without a GP referral may be eligible for private health fund rebates.

AUTISM ASSESSMENTS

These can be booked as a single assessment or as a dual diagnostic assessment (with Speech Pathologist, Jodie May)

Please note that autism assessments cannot be booked online.

  • Therapy for children and adolescents (e.g.  depression and anxiety, self-harm, social and peer difficulties, behavioural challenges).

  • Support for autism related differences - understanding strengths and challenges and positive self acceptance and advocacy.

  • Parenting support 

SCHOOL SEMINARS AND TRAINING:

  • Parenting talks and school-based workshops on topics relating to youth mental health offered on request. Please contact Donna directly to discuss requirements for your organisation.
